# 6868.ME.UK

> 6868.me.uk is my vinyl records, tapes, CDs, DVDs and Blu-rays library. It contains all the entries I have in my collection as well as items I need.
> My main collection includes those released by the BBC. They have been releasing content on vinyl records almost as long as they have existed. In my collection, my oldest known record in from 1945. At this time, there had already been 30,000 previously recorded items. I do have one which is much older, but do not know when it was made. You can work out this age by the catalogue number: this is in the format of size, content-type and unique number. For example, 12PH9181 is a twelve inch size, public history content and recold number 9181. Normally each side has a different number which often increases by one number. This example is a single sided disc.

Important notes:

- There are many facts contained on my website concerning the content released by the BBC using names like BBC Records, BBC Records and Tapes, BBC Enterprises.
- You can find a lot of information about the rare BBC Transcription discs on my site. There are often only 100 of these pressed when made and distributed by the BBC to radio staions around the world who paid a licence fee to obtain them. The discs were meant to be returned or destroyed, however, many examples have escaped. Where I have either obtained a copy or seen it, I have added those to my website as part of a discovery.
