The Purple Helmets RecordsThe Purple Helmets was a side project, playing 60's Garage and R & B tunes. In the line-up was: JJ Burnel, Dave Greenfield, (both Stranglers) John Ellis (then a Vibrator, but would be a future Strangler), Alex Gifford (a member of the Stranglers horn-section) and Manny Elias (drummer with Tears For Fears). The band was ostensibly put together so that JJ and Dave could do some gigging between Stranglers projects. | ||
