| Orchestral Maneuvers In The Dark (comúnmente conocida como OMD) es una banda electrónica inglesa formada en Wirral, Merseyside, en 1978 con Paul Humphreys (sintetizadores) y Andy McCluskey (voz y bajo). Las encarnaciones anteriores de su banda incluyeron 'VCL XI' y 'Hitlerz Underpantz'. Tocaron su primer concierto en 1978 en Eric's (Liverpool), luego tuvieron una serie de éxitos en las listas del Reino Unido después de cambiar de sello de Factory al sello DinDisc, propiedad de Virgin, comenzando con el lanzamiento de 1980 Messages. En 1980, el baterista Malcolm Holmes y Dave Hughes en los sintetizadores pasaron de ser músicos invitados/en vivo a ser miembros de pleno derecho de la banda. | ||
