| BBC Transcription Services (vóór BBC Transcription Service (geen "s"), later BBC Transcription en vandaag BBC Radio International) schijven werden alleen beschikbaar gesteld aan buitenlandse radiostations voor uitzenddoeleinden en werden niet beschikbaar gesteld voor verkoop aan het grote publiek. Begin jaren negentig verkochten veel internationale BBC-bibliotheken hun voorraden echter aan het publiek. Beperking: "Normaal gesproken drukte BBC Transcription Services 100 exemplaren van elke schijf, met instructies aan het overzeese radionetwerk om de schijf aan het einde van de licentieperiode te vernietigen." Houd er rekening mee dat het genre van de shows die beschikbaar zijn via dit label net zo breed is als de belangrijkste BBC-labels die hier te bekijken zijn. Ook worden er al vele jaren platen uitgegeven in binnen- en buitenland (de oudste die ik heb heeft een datum van 1949, maar ze zijn al veel langer uitgegeven!) In tegenstelling tot de meeste platencatalogi heeft elke zijde van de BBC-transcriptieschijf zijn eigen catalogusnummer - zijde twee is normaal gesproken één getal hoger dan zijde één! | ||
