| „The Prisoner“ ist eine britische Science-Fiction-Allegorien-Fernsehserie aus dem Jahr 1967 über einen unbekannten britischen Geheimdienstagenten, der entführt und in einem mysteriösen Küstendorf eingesperrt wird, wo seine Entführer herausfinden wollen, warum er plötzlich von seinem Job zurückgetreten ist. Es wurde von Patrick McGoohan und George Markstein kreiert, wobei McGoohan die Hauptrolle der Nummer Sechs spielt. Die Episoden umfassten verschiedene Handlungsstränge aus der Spionageliteratur mit Elementen aus Science-Fiction, Allegorie und psychologischem Drama. Es wurde von Everyman Films für den Vertrieb durch Lew Grades ITC Entertainment-Unternehmen produziert. |
