Die BBC Radioplay Music Library produzierte eine Reihe von Radioplay-LPs und -CDs exklusiv für die British Broadcasting Corporation zur Verwendung in deren Radiosendungen. BBC Radioplay-LPs und -CDs wurden ausschließlich für die Ausstrahlung durch BBC-Radiosender produziert und enthielten Aufnahmen, die frei von Urheberrechten waren und Titel enthielten, die von der BBC (oder Partnerorganisationen in Europa, den USA usw.) aufgenommen wurden. Bei einigen handelte es sich um Live-Aufnahmen, aber es gibt auch Versionen bekannter Lieder, die in den Studios des Radiosenders aufgenommen wurden.
Bei den Vinyl-LPs hatten die Vorderhüllen normalerweise genau das gleiche Design, mit einem Bild des vorgestellten Künstlers & Titel ist der einzige Unterschied. Auf der hinteren Hülle sind Titel, Tempo, Intro, Dauer, Ende, Komponist, Herausgeber und Klappentext des Titels vermerkt (damit der Moderator sachkundig wirkt!). BBC Radioplay-LPs enthalten einige einzigartige Aufnahmen und wurden normalerweise von Unternehmen wie ... gepresst Nimbus und wurden ausgestrahlt, die Qualität der Produktion und Pressung ist meist sehr hoch. |
