| I Portishead sono una band inglese formatasi nel 1991 a Bristol. Sono spesso considerati uno dei pionieri della musica trip hop. La band prende il nome dalla vicina città omonima, otto miglia a ovest di Bristol, lungo la costa. I Portishead sono formati da Geoff Barrow, Beth Gibbons e Adrian Utley, mentre a volte citano un quarto membro, Dave McDonald, un tecnico dei loro primi dischi. Il loro album di debutto, Dummy, è stato accolto con successo dalla critica nel 1994. Due sono stati pubblicati altri album in studio: Portishead nel 1997 e Third nel 2008. | ||
