The Cure es una banda de rock inglesa formada en Crawley en 1976. La banda ha experimentado varios cambios de formación, siendo el vocalista, guitarrista y compositor principal Robert Smith el único miembro constante. Los miembros actuales son Robert Smith, Simon Gallop, Roger O'Donnell, Jason Cooper y Reeves Gabrels.
The Cure comenzó a lanzar música a finales de la década de 1970 con su álbum debut Three Imaginary Boys (1979); esto, junto con varios de los primeros sencillos, colocó a la banda como parte de los movimientos post-punk y new wave que habían surgido a raíz de la revolución del punk rock en el Reino Unido.
