MusiciansJay Mitchell Kevin Davis Engineered byJosh Shnider Produced byCarl Todd The singing career of Porscha really starts at the age of 5 in her native state of North Carolina USA, when she began singing in Church and by the age of 10 was performing at Community Church such as Liberty Church and United Church of Christ, which of course has given her that Gospel leading into Soul / Dance pedigree so essentially required to be successful in this field. Porscha developed through the years, and her dreams and first break came when she joined an R&B outfit called "Kalage" who eventually wound up working in Los Angeles, where eventually Porscha ventured away to start a solo career performing in night clubs and where she soon gained acclaim for her excellent vocal range and feelings. She was signed by Independant label Ham-Sem Records in 1985 who released her 1st single 'Two of hearts' under the name of Rosa Murray (A. K. A. Vitu), which was produced by Jay Mitchell the single obtained wonderful reviews from Billboard and Cashbox, and created massive airplay. In 1986 Porsha joined a female group 'Tingl' who performed many gigs in the California area. Porscha met established singer / arranger / producer Carl Todd in 1987 who now began to seriously and professionally develop 'Porscha' into the marvellous new contender for the Soul / Dance market that she is and this record is her latest testiment in archieving that goal. Porschas hobbies are music, skating, basketball and tennis which is why she looks so fit, and also she can play clarinet and the piano. Keith C Thomas. | ||
