Estos discos de BBC Radioplay Music son reediciones de pistas publicadas en la biblioteca TAIR original. Estos fueron enviados exclusivamente a la British Broadcasting Corporation para su uso en sus transmisiones de radio. Los LP y CD de BBC Radioplay se produjeron únicamente para su transmisión por estaciones de radio de la BBC y presentaban grabaciones libres de derechos de autor que contenían pistas grabadas por la BBC (u organizaciones asociadas en Europa, EE. UU., etc.). Algunas eran grabaciones en vivo, pero también hay versiones de canciones conocidas grabadas en los estudios de las estaciones de radio.
En el caso de los LP de vinilo, las carátulas frontales solían tener exactamente el mismo diseño, con una imagen del artista destacado. Y el título es la única diferencia. La portada trasera indica el título, el tempo, la introducción, la duración, el final, el compositor, el editor y la propaganda relacionada con la pista (¡para que el presentador pueda parecer conocedor!). Los LP de BBC Radioplay tienen algunas grabaciones únicas y, como generalmente fueron impresos por compañías como Nimbus y eran para retransmisión, la calidad de la producción y el prensado suele ser muy alta. |
