La BBC Radioplay Music Library ha prodotto una serie di LP e CD Radioplay esclusivi per la British Broadcasting Corporation da utilizzare nelle sue trasmissioni radiofoniche. Gli LP e i CD di BBC Radioplay sono stati prodotti esclusivamente per la trasmissione dalle stazioni radio della BBC e contenevano registrazioni esenti da copyright, contenenti brani registrati dalla BBC (o organizzazioni partner in Europa, Stati Uniti, ecc.). Alcune erano registrazioni dal vivo, ma ci sono anche versioni di canzoni famose registrate negli studi delle stazioni radio.
Per gli LP in vinile, le copertine anteriori avevano solitamente esattamente lo stesso design, con un'immagine dell'artista presentato e il titolo è l'unica differenza. La copertina posteriore riporta il titolo, il tempo, l'intro, la durata, la fine, il compositore, l'editore e la descrizione relativa al brano (così il presentatore potrebbe apparire ben informato!) Gli LP della BBC Radioplay hanno alcune registrazioni uniche e poiché di solito venivano stampati da aziende come Nimbus e fossero destinati alla trasmissione, la qualità della produzione e della stampa è solitamente molto alta. |
