Further information | ||
| Madness is an English ska band from Camden Town, North London, formed in 1976. They were one of the most prominent bands of the 2-Tone ska revival in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The current lineup includes Chris Foreman, Mike Barson, Lee Thompson, Graham "Suggs" McPherson, Dan Woodgate, and Mark Bedford. Madness achieved the bulk of their success between the early and mid-1980s. Both Madness and UB40 spent 214 weeks on the UK singles charts throughout the decade, holding the record for the most weeks spent by a group on the UK singles charts during the 1980s. However, Madness accomplished this over a shorter period (1980–1986). | ||
