'Nancy Astor' is a BBC TV Series starring Lisa Harrow as Nancy Astor and was filmed at Television Centre in London and on location in the UK and in Virginia USA.

Nancy Astor, famous for her magnetic charm, her acid wit and her fighting spirit, was the vivacious and beautiful American woman who married multi-millionaire Waldorf Astor and became the first lady Member of Parliament to take her seat in 1919. She became an outspoken campaigner and brilliant hostess to the eminent figures of her age.

The series is written by Derek Marlowe, directed by Richard Stroud and produced by Philip Hinchcliffe.

Stanley Myers is best known for his award winning composition 'Cavatina' which was used as the theme for the film 'The Deer Hunter'. His other compositions include the film scores for 'Otley', 'Raging Moon' and 'The Greek Tycoon', while his previous television themes have included 'Up The Junction' and 'The Martian Chronicles'.

In that time, there were companies set up within or structured brands as part of the company to deal with separate parts of the business, e.g. BBC Records for recorded audio. Sometimes written as BBC Enterprise Ltd.
