Susan Howatch's best-selling novel is vividly brought to the screen in the BBC TV production starring Annabel Leventon as 'Janna' and Martin C. Thurlery as 'Mark', with Rupert Frazer as 'Philip' and Eric Deacon as 'Jan-Yves.' Dramatised by John Prebble, Michael Robson and Julian Bond, the serial is directed by Tina Wakerell and Derek Martinus, and produced by Ron Craddock.
