| Ennio Morricone was born in Rome in 1928. Few film composers have been as inventive and masterful as this man whose best known scores include "A fistful of Dollars", "For a few Dollars more", "1900", "Moses" and "La cage aux folles". In 1968 his film composition "The good, the bad and the ugly" was no. 1 single for Hugo Montenegro here in the UK. "Chi Mai" (however) reached no. 2 in the pop charts in 1981. It was used as the theme from the BBC-TC series "The life and time of David Lloyd George", its haunting melody is perfectly suited to the Welsh countryside and life story of Wales' most famous politician. | ||
